Rodger Burgess is the Owner and President of Blue Ridge Industrial Sales, Inc., a four-person manufacturers' representative sales agency specializing in components and systems for assembly and machine automation. He is a past President of SME Atlanta and has been an active member in our chapter for more than 15 years.

Ben Moore is the Industrial Engineering Manager at Kajima Building & Design Group, a multinational architectural, engineering, and construction firm specializing in design and construction of manufacturing facilities. He is responsible for business development, engineering, and oversight of all domestic manufacturing and industrial projects. His experience includes bulk materials handling, weighing and blending systems, and assembly operations with a focus on plant layout optimization and Greenfield project development.

Brad West is the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement at General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies in Duluth, GA. He leads teams in the application of Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive continual process improvement at companies like General Electric, AT&T, and General Dynamics. He is a Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt (CSSMBB) and an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE). He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Xavier University.

Stuart McRae is a professional engineer, licensed in the State of Georgia, with a background in research and development leading to commercial products. His experience includes program management, product design and engineering, process and supply chain development, and commercial product production. He has played key design and development roles as a consultant and full time employee for several medical manufacturers such as AerovectRx, Scientific Compliance, and Altea’s. As a result of his efforts, Stuart is an inventor on twenty US and international patents.

Lauren and Stephanie joined the Atlanta SME Executive Committee in 2009 and currently split the duties of the Program Chair role. They are both Account Managers in Contract Engineering at Aerotek, Inc., providing engineering services within the DoD, electronics, manufacturing, and medical device market segments. Lauren obtained a B.S. in Psychology from Florida State University, and Stephanie earned a B.S. in Psychology from Georgia State University.

She is currently teaching in the Mechanical Engineering Technology department at Southern Polytechnic State University. Dr Nasseri has been the advisor to the student chapter of SME at SPSU since Fall of 2006.

Ron is the Associate Director of the Georgia Tech Research Institute’s Information & Communications Laboratory, focusing his time on building industry relations. In his off time he enjoys gardening with his wife and singing in church choirs. He has been elected a Fellow of SME and of GTRI. He also serves SME as a coach to volunteer leaders in Georgia and South Carolina. He holds a PhD in Physics from Imperial College in London, England.

John is a Research Engineer and program coordinator for the Precision Machining Research Center at the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute (GTMI). Previously he worked in process optimization and cost reduction in the consumer electronics industry, including three years in a production facility in Humacao, Puerto Rico. John has served the Atlanta Chapter as treasurer, chair elect, and chairman, as well as SME national in the roles of MCon for the Southeast region, and as a member of the Leadership Development Task Group. He holds a BSME from Cornell University, a B.A. in Physics from Ithaca College, and an M.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
